Each year, cases of children who drown or almost drown in pools, ponds or other water bodies are seen. Annually, about 3, 600 injuries occur to children due to a near-drowning most of the drowning-related incidents, a parent or care-giver claimed to be supervising the child.
Also, in school children, the knowledge of cardiac arrest and required basic life support (BLS) has been found to be insufficient and even the school teachers lack such knowledge and skills, in most developed countries.
CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is a lifesaving procedure that is done when someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped. This may happen after drowning, suffocation, choking, or injuries.
Our goal is to train 5000 kids yearly on CPR/ BLS. We intend to train kids in 50 schools per year.
Help make this project a reality.
